Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt met recently
with Arizona Supervisor Buster Johnson of
Mohave County at a Quad State County Government
Coalition Joint Powers Authority meeting
in Bakersfield. Johnson had just been
elected Chairman of the coalition's governing
board and Mitzelfelt was selected Vice-Chairman.
Mitzelfelt had been an alternate board member
for the previous six years. The group
pushes for equitable treatment of local
governments under the Endangered Species
Act through advocacy and legal action. |

66. San Bernardino County has the
longest maintained stretch of the "Mother
Road" and the Supervisor wants to give the
Economic Development Agency more resources
to promote such tourism assets, including
our national parks, lakes and streams, deserts
and mountains. |

discarded tree branch while unloading a
truckload of green waste during the May
12 Wrightwood Fire and Disaster
Awareness Day. During the weeklong
preparedness week, Wrightwood's effort
recycled 217,480 pounds of green waste,
which is equivalent to 54 pounds for
every resident. |
